the summer of a lifetime down in santiago, chile...i just hope that this will do it some kind of justice.

welp, this is it.  final morning in chile.  its been a one of a kind summer and i really appreciate anyone who has occasionally looked at this blog to check up on me and what is going on down here with these amazing kids. sara and i fly (hopefully, as long as we get seats) out of santiago at 8:15 tonight and are supposed to get into atlanta at around 6 tomorrow morning.  any and all are absolutely welcome and appreciated for our primary regression into american society (and if all goes to plan that will include a trip to the chickfila dwarf house too). im going to keep posting pictures and stuff that i didnt get to do before so dont forget about this blog too soon, you still have to meet so many of my new friends! chao chile!

the countdown begins…

my time here in chile is quickly winding down, we leave wednesday!

3 more sleeps until blastoff.

so this has nothing really to do with chile…but we are going to see the new harry potter movie tonight and we are so excited that i am preparing myself now for the embarassingly loud gasp that we will collectively achieve when it starts.  already today we have seen about 10 people dressed in wizarding gear…im a little jealous we didnt plan that far ahead!  theres always next year…

my friend ketty from el oasis is going to spain in january (during her summer) to do the same thing i have been doing this summer! vamosaenvivo: Hola, mi nombre es Ketty Bozán, soy estudiante universitaria. Participo en un ministerio cristiano para jóvenes llamado El Oasis (www.eloasis.cl), el cual esta presente en varios países. En este lugar conocí a Cristo, me enseñaron que es un Dios de amor y desea tener una relación personal con nosotros. Conocí gente que entrega su amistad sin pedir nada a cambio,que  está disponibles cuando los necesitas. El Oasis cada día están organizando interesantes actividades para universitarios con un gran objetivo, llevar Jesús a la vida de jóvenes como yo. Te quiero contar que se me ha presentado la posibilidad de ir a “En Vivo” el Ministerio en Salamanca, España para ayudar con sus actividades y realizar diversas tareas… todo esto con el objetivo principal de compartir con otros jóvenes y mostrarles el amor de Dios! Mi deseo es que el Señor me use como herramienta en la vida de estos jóvenes y que haga la obra en sus vidas tal como lo hizo conmigo.Si sientes que quieres ser de ayuda para el ministerio y aportar para concretar este viaje comunicate conmigo, no olvides que también me puedes ayudar en oración para que estos dos meses tengan grandes frutos….

it may not look like i am going fast but it felt like it!  this is one of my less spectacular falls…i perfected the art of cartwheel-front flip-face plant as i hit divots from other boarders!
